Poor Service

Very disappointing experience on the 2nd time around. After chasing me to get me Fire Risk Assessment booked in because the previous one was about to expire, ( or more than one occasion unnecessarily). They then tried to charge me for things that are not needed on a risk assessment and i had to be firm with them as i work in property so knew they were just touting for business. I have today received the certificate nearly 3 months after the report was carried out. This was very disappointing especially as i had to continually chase the report . I would not recommend i had a client with a block of 16 flats i could of referred but obviously didn't.

Where’s the refund?

We booked an appointment and paid on 20th Jan. The engineer didn’t turn up and nobody notified us about the issue. The staff agreed to refund us but after 2 months we still haven’t received the refund. Never received any response from them 1 month ago.

Book Fire Risk Assessment: Ensuring London Property Safety

For property owners and managers in London, booking a fire risk assessment is a crucial step in maintaining compliance with UK fire safety regulations. The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 mandates that all non-domestic premises undergo regular fire risk assessments. This process is essential for identifying potential fire hazards and implementing measures to protect occupants. Understanding how to book a fire risk assessment and what to expect is vital for ensuring your property’s safety and legal compliance.

The process of booking a fire risk assessment involves finding a qualified and reputable assessor. The cost of these assessments can vary, starting from around £79 for smaller properties. Factors influencing the price include the size and complexity of the building, the type of occupancy, and the existing fire safety measures. When booking, ensure the assessor is competent and experienced in conducting fire risk assessments in London’s diverse property landscape.

A comprehensive fire risk assessment involves several key processes. Firstly, the assessor will conduct a thorough inspection of the property to identify potential fire hazards, such as faulty electrical wiring, flammable materials, and obstructed escape routes. Secondly, they will assess the risks associated with these hazards, considering the likelihood of a fire and its potential consequences. Thirdly, they will evaluate the effectiveness of existing fire safety measures, such as fire alarms, extinguishers, and emergency lighting. Finally, they will provide a detailed report outlining their findings and recommendations for improving fire safety. This report is crucial for demonstrating compliance and implementing necessary safety measures.

The validity of a fire risk assessment is not indefinite. Regular reviews are essential to ensure the assessment remains accurate and up-to-date. Generally, annual reviews are recommended, or more frequent reviews may be necessary depending on changes to the property or its occupancy. Changes such as renovations or alterations in building use can necessitate a new assessment. In a dynamic city like London, consistent reviews are particularly important.
