Order 17880

Order 17880 I am extremely disappointed with the service. 1) The inspector did not show up for the scheduled appointment. 2) Nobody bothered to call me to inform me that the inspector would not come, and I had taken a day off from work specifically for this appointment. 3) I called customer service four times to reschedule, and every single time, I was told that someone would call me back. Unfortunately, nobody ever did. 4) They charged me for a service that was never performed, and it looks like they are having serious difficulties actually delivering what they promise. The level of unprofessionalism is absolutely shocking. I have not seen such blatant disregard and ignorance towards a customer in a very long time. I have wasted my time, money, and energy dealing with a company that clearly does not care about its customers. Avoid this service at all costs!

What is an EICR?

An Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) is a formal document that is produced following an assessment of the electrical installations within a property. Conducted by a qualified electrician, the EICR evaluates the safety and compliance of electrical systems with current standards.

Certified electrician conducting an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) in a business establishment.

Importance of an EICR Certificate

  1. Legal Compliance: Landlords must ensure the electrical installations in their properties are inspected and tested at least every five years.
  2. Safety Assurance: Identifies potential fire hazards, electric shock risks, and other safety issues.
  3. Insurance Requirements: Many insurers require a valid EICR as part of their policy terms.
  4. Peace of Mind: Ensures that the electrical systems are safe for tenants and reduces the risk of accidents.

What Does an Electrical Safety Certificate Cover?

  • Inspection of Electrical Systems: Comprehensive examination of wiring, sockets, switches, and fixed electrical equipment.
  • Testing of Installations: Conducting various tests to ensure all electrical systems are functioning correctly and safely.
  • Identification of Defects: Highlighting any issues or potential hazards that need addressing.

Process of Obtaining an EICR Certificate

  1. Hire a Qualified Electrician: Ensure the electrician is registered with a recognized regulatory body.
  2. Schedule the Inspection: Arrange a convenient time for the inspection.
  3. Conduct the Assessment: The electrician will inspect and test all electrical installations.
  4. Receive the Report: Obtain the EICR, which details any issues found and the overall condition of the electrical systems.
  5. Address Any Issues: Implement any recommendations or necessary repairs to ensure safety and compliance.

Why Landlords Need an Electrical Safety Certificate

Landlords are responsible for ensuring their properties are electrically safe. An EICR provides evidence of this and highlights any immediate or potential dangers. It’s a critical part of property management, ensuring the safety of tenants and protecting the landlord from legal and financial risks.

Conclusion

An EICR certificate is essential for ensuring electrical safety in rental properties. Regular inspections help identify and mitigate risks, ensuring compliance with legal standards and providing peace of mind to both landlords and tenants. For reliable and professional EICR assessments, contact a qualified electrician today.

Super Fast Service

We needed the FRA done for our new building urgently. Called their customer service around 11am and they arranged someone to be on site in the evening around half 6 same day. Although we had to pay extra for getting this arranged but it was worth. Time was more important for us than the money. Received the report within 48 hours too. Saved us from a big trouble. Definitely be using them again for new projects. Thank you
