Poor Service

Very disappointing experience on the 2nd time around. After chasing me to get me Fire Risk Assessment booked in because the previous one was about to expire, ( or more than one occasion unnecessarily). They then tried to charge me for things that are not needed on a risk assessment and i had to be firm with them as i work in property so knew they were just touting for business. I have today received the certificate nearly 3 months after the report was carried out. This was very disappointing especially as i had to continually chase the report . I would not recommend i had a client with a block of 16 flats i could of referred but obviously didn't.

Where’s the refund?

We booked an appointment and paid on 20th Jan. The engineer didn’t turn up and nobody notified us about the issue. The staff agreed to refund us but after 2 months we still haven’t received the refund. Never received any response from them 1 month ago.

Commercial EPC: Ensuring Energy Efficiency and Compliance in London

For landlords and business owners in London, understanding commercial EPC requirements is crucial for legal compliance and efficient property management. An Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) is a legal requirement for commercial properties being rented out, sold, or constructed. This certificate provides an energy efficiency rating for the building, helping potential tenants and buyers understand its energy performance and running costs. This guide explores the key aspects of commercial EPCs in London.

A commercial EPC assesses a building’s energy efficiency on a scale from A (most efficient) to G (least efficient). The certificate provides information on energy use, typical energy costs, and recommendations for improvement. Valid for 10 years, it must be provided to prospective tenants or buyers. Displaying a valid EPC is a legal requirement; non-compliance can lead to fines.

The EPC assessment involves a qualified assessor inspecting the building, examining factors like size, construction materials, insulation, heating, cooling, lighting, and ventilation. They generate a report with an energy efficiency rating, estimated costs, and improvement recommendations. The assessment’s complexity and property size affect the EPC cost.

Obtaining a commercial EPC ensures legal compliance and avoids fines. A good rating attracts tenants/buyers by indicating lower energy bills and a smaller environmental footprint. It also identifies areas for energy efficiency improvements, potentially saving money and increasing property value. Regular maintenance and upgrades help maintain a good rating.

To ensure your commercial property meets legal requirements and appeals to potential tenants or buyers, obtain a valid EPC.
