Poor Service

Very disappointing experience on the 2nd time around. After chasing me to get me Fire Risk Assessment booked in because the previous one was about to expire, ( or more than one occasion unnecessarily). They then tried to charge me for things that are not needed on a risk assessment and i had to be firm with them as i work in property so knew they were just touting for business. I have today received the certificate nearly 3 months after the report was carried out. This was very disappointing especially as i had to continually chase the report . I would not recommend i had a client with a block of 16 flats i could of referred but obviously didn't.

Where’s the refund?

We booked an appointment and paid on 20th Jan. The engineer didn’t turn up and nobody notified us about the issue. The staff agreed to refund us but after 2 months we still haven’t received the refund. Never received any response from them 1 month ago.

EICR Certificate: Ensuring Electrical Safety in Your Property

An EICR certificate, or Electrical Installation Condition Report certificate, is a formal document that confirms the safety and condition of the electrical installations within a property. Whether you are a landlord needing to comply with regulations or a homeowner wanting to ensure the safety of your family, obtaining an eicr certificate from a qualified electrician is a crucial step.

The purpose of an eicr certificate is to provide a comprehensive assessment of the electrical system, identifying any potential hazards, defects, or areas of non-compliance with the current electrical safety standards (BS 7671). A thorough inspection covers all fixed electrical parts of the property, including wiring, sockets, light fittings, and the consumer unit. The eicr certificate details the findings of this inspection, categorizing any issues and recommending necessary remedial work.

For landlords in the UK, an eicr certificate is a legal requirement for rental properties. The Electrical Safety Standards in the Private Rented Sector (England) Regulations 2020 mandate that landlords must have a valid eicr certificate in place before the start of a new tenancy and ensure that electrical installations are inspected and tested at least every five years by a qualified electrician. Providing a copy of the eicr certificate to tenants and carrying out any required remedial work are also legal obligations for landlords.

Obtaining an eicr certificate involves hiring a qualified and registered electrician to conduct the inspection. Following the assessment, the electrician will issue the eicr certificate, which documents the condition of the electrical installation at the time of the inspection. This certificate is a crucial piece of documentation for demonstrating compliance with safety regulations and ensuring the well-being of occupants.

Whether you are a landlord fulfilling your legal duties or a homeowner prioritizing safety, an eicr certificate provides peace of mind knowing that your electrical system has been assessed by a professional. To arrange for an eicr certificate for your property, you can contact qualified electricians through services like EICR Certificate Services.

A comprehensive electrical safety check provides peace of mind and helps to maintain the value of the property by ensuring its electrical systems are in good working order and comply with current safety standards. Identifying and addressing minor electrical issues during a safety check can also prevent more significant and costly problems from developing in the future. To arrange a professional electrical safety check for your property, you can contact qualified electricians through services like Electrical Safety Certificate Services.
