Poor Service

Very disappointing experience on the 2nd time around. After chasing me to get me Fire Risk Assessment booked in because the previous one was about to expire, ( or more than one occasion unnecessarily). They then tried to charge me for things that are not needed on a risk assessment and i had to be firm with them as i work in property so knew they were just touting for business. I have today received the certificate nearly 3 months after the report was carried out. This was very disappointing especially as i had to continually chase the report . I would not recommend i had a client with a block of 16 flats i could of referred but obviously didn't.

Where’s the refund?

We booked an appointment and paid on 20th Jan. The engineer didn’t turn up and nobody notified us about the issue. The staff agreed to refund us but after 2 months we still haven’t received the refund. Never received any response from them 1 month ago.

Energy Performance Check: Ensuring Efficiency in London Properties

For landlords and homeowners in London, conducting an energy performance check is essential for understanding and improving the energy efficiency of their properties. An Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) provides an energy efficiency rating, and regular checks ensure compliance with regulations and help reduce energy costs. This guide outlines the importance of an energy performance check, what it entails, and how to ensure your property is energy efficient.

An energy performance check involves reviewing the EPC to understand a property’s energy efficiency rating, which ranges from A (most efficient) to G (least efficient). This check helps identify areas for improvement, such as insulation, heating systems, and lighting. Regular checks are crucial for ensuring the EPC is valid and up-to-date, as it is a legal requirement for properties being rented or sold. An effective energy performance check can lead to significant cost savings and a more comfortable living environment.

The process of an energy performance check typically involves accessing the national EPC Register online. You can search for your property’s EPC using the postcode or Report Reference Number (RRN). This register provides details about the property’s energy efficiency rating, estimated energy costs, and recommendations for improvements. If your EPC is missing or has expired, you will need to arrange for a new assessment. This check ensures your property complies with current energy efficiency standards.

Landlords in London are legally required to provide a valid EPC to tenants. Conducting regular energy performance checks helps landlords avoid penalties and ensures their properties meet the minimum energy efficiency standards. Furthermore, energy-efficient properties are more attractive to tenants and buyers, increasing property value. Regular checks also help identify opportunities for energy-saving upgrades, which can lead to long-term cost savings.

To ensure your property’s energy efficiency and compliance, consider using professional EPC assessment services.
