Poor Service

Very disappointing experience on the 2nd time around. After chasing me to get me Fire Risk Assessment booked in because the previous one was about to expire, ( or more than one occasion unnecessarily). They then tried to charge me for things that are not needed on a risk assessment and i had to be firm with them as i work in property so knew they were just touting for business. I have today received the certificate nearly 3 months after the report was carried out. This was very disappointing especially as i had to continually chase the report . I would not recommend i had a client with a block of 16 flats i could of referred but obviously didn't.

Where’s the refund?

We booked an appointment and paid on 20th Jan. The engineer didn’t turn up and nobody notified us about the issue. The staff agreed to refund us but after 2 months we still haven’t received the refund. Never received any response from them 1 month ago.

EPC Certificate UK What Landlords Need to Know

If you’re a landlord in the UK, you’ve probably heard of an EPC certificate. But what exactly is it, and why is it so important? An EPC (Energy Performance Certificate) is a legal requirement for all rental properties in the UK. It provides information about the energy efficiency of a property and is valid for 10 years.

The EPC rates your property on a scale from A (most efficient) to G (least efficient). Since April 2020, rental properties must have a minimum rating of E. If your property falls below this standard, you’ll need to make improvements before renting it out.

An EPC assessment is carried out by a qualified EPC assessor, who will evaluate various aspects of your property, including insulation, heating systems, and windows. The assessor will then provide recommendations for improving your property’s energy efficiency.

Why does this matter? An energy-efficient property not only reduces carbon emissions but also lowers energy bills for your tenants. Plus, it makes your property more attractive to potential renters.

Don’t have an EPC certificate or need to renew one? Visit Landlords Checks to book a certified EPC assessor today.
