Poor Service

Very disappointing experience on the 2nd time around. After chasing me to get me Fire Risk Assessment booked in because the previous one was about to expire, ( or more than one occasion unnecessarily). They then tried to charge me for things that are not needed on a risk assessment and i had to be firm with them as i work in property so knew they were just touting for business. I have today received the certificate nearly 3 months after the report was carried out. This was very disappointing especially as i had to continually chase the report . I would not recommend i had a client with a block of 16 flats i could of referred but obviously didn't.

Where’s the refund?

We booked an appointment and paid on 20th Jan. The engineer didn’t turn up and nobody notified us about the issue. The staff agreed to refund us but after 2 months we still haven’t received the refund. Never received any response from them 1 month ago.

Safety Certificates for Landlords in Barnet

As a landlord in Barnet, ensuring your properties are safe, compliant, and meet all legal standards is vital. Landlords Checks provides a range of landlord safety certificates to support you in fulfilling your responsibilities, offering peace of mind for both you and your tenants.

  • Fire Risk Assessment: Identifying and managing potential fire hazards within your property is crucial. A thorough fire risk assessment ensures that appropriate measures are in place to reduce the risk of fire. This is a legal requirement, particularly for properties with shared spaces.

  • Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR): An EICR evaluates the safety and condition of your property’s electrical installations. Landlords are legally required to ensure that the electrical systems are safe and up to standard, with regular checks to prevent electrical hazards.

  • Energy Performance Certificate (EPC): The EPC provides essential information about your property’s energy efficiency. It’s a legal requirement to have a valid EPC before renting out your property, ensuring tenants are informed about the energy performance of their future home.

  • Gas Safety Certificate: This certificate verifies that all gas appliances, fittings, and flues in your property are safe and meet legal standards. An annual gas safety check by a registered engineer is mandatory for landlords, safeguarding both tenants and the property.

  • Asbestos Management Survey: For properties built before the year 2000, an Asbestos Management Survey is essential. This survey identifies the presence of asbestos and offers guidance on managing it safely, protecting tenants and maintenance workers from asbestos exposure.

Landlords Checks is committed to helping landlords in Barnet meet their legal obligations. Staying compliant with these essential services helps you protect your tenants and contribute to a safer, healthier community.

We’re here to ensure you get the right services. Contact Landlords Checks today to book any of these essential compliance services and keep your property legally compliant.
