Poor Service

Very disappointing experience on the 2nd time around. After chasing me to get me Fire Risk Assessment booked in because the previous one was about to expire, ( or more than one occasion unnecessarily). They then tried to charge me for things that are not needed on a risk assessment and i had to be firm with them as i work in property so knew they were just touting for business. I have today received the certificate nearly 3 months after the report was carried out. This was very disappointing especially as i had to continually chase the report . I would not recommend i had a client with a block of 16 flats i could of referred but obviously didn't.

Where’s the refund?

We booked an appointment and paid on 20th Jan. The engineer didn’t turn up and nobody notified us about the issue. The staff agreed to refund us but after 2 months we still haven’t received the refund. Never received any response from them 1 month ago.

Finding Reliable PAT Testing Near Me in Kingston Upon Thames

For businesses, landlords, and even homeowners in the Royal Borough of Kingston Upon Thames, ensuring the safety of electrical appliances is extremely important. When searching for “PAT testing near me,” it’s about finding local, dependable services. Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) is a vital process. It checks that all movable electrical equipment is safe to use. By finding potential electrical faults, PAT testing helps prevent accidents, fires, and injuries. This proactive step helps create a safer environment for everyone in Kingston Upon Thames. Prioritizing regular PAT testing helps maintain smooth operations and protects people.

While the law doesn’t always strictly require PAT testing by name, UK regulations are clear. The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 place a strong duty on employers and self-employed individuals to ensure electrical equipment is safe. For landlords, while not explicitly mandatory in all cases, the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985 implies that electrical items provided must be safe. Therefore, engaging in regular PAT testing, especially with a local provider, helps you meet these legal duties. Failing to ensure appliance safety can lead to serious fines and legal issues. So, understanding the value and implementing consistent PAT testing is a crucial part of responsible management in Kingston Upon Thames. It demonstrates your commitment to a safe environment for your staff, tenants, or family.

The process of PAT testing involves a systematic check and series of electrical tests on all portable appliances. This includes a wide range of items: office equipment like computers and printers, kitchen appliances such as kettles and microwaves, and even power tools. A competent PAT testing professional will first do a visual inspection. They look for any visible damage like frayed cables or cracked casings. Next, they use special equipment to perform electrical tests. These tests check earth continuity, insulation resistance, and ensure correct wiring. Each appliance that passes receives a ‘passed’ label with the re-test date, and a detailed report is provided. When you search for “PAT testing near me” in Kingston Upon Thames, you’re looking for professionals who understand the local context. They can offer a convenient and efficient service tailored to your needs.

When choosing a PAT testing service in Kingston Upon Thames, it is vital to select a reputable and fully qualified provider. Look for companies whose technicians are properly trained, insured, and have positive reviews from other local businesses or landlords. Investing in professional PAT testing goes beyond just meeting a compliance requirement. It shows a fundamental commitment to the safety and well-being of your employees, customers, or tenants within Kingston Upon Thames’s vibrant community. Quickly fixing any appliances that fail the PAT test by repairing or replacing them is essential. This ensures your equipment remains safe and fully functional, significantly reducing the risk of electrical hazards. Your proactive approach to consistent PAT testing is a crucial step in maintaining a secure environment and protecting your valuable assets in this area.
