Poor Service

Very disappointing experience on the 2nd time around. After chasing me to get me Fire Risk Assessment booked in because the previous one was about to expire, ( or more than one occasion unnecessarily). They then tried to charge me for things that are not needed on a risk assessment and i had to be firm with them as i work in property so knew they were just touting for business. I have today received the certificate nearly 3 months after the report was carried out. This was very disappointing especially as i had to continually chase the report . I would not recommend i had a client with a block of 16 flats i could of referred but obviously didn't.

Where’s the refund?

We booked an appointment and paid on 20th Jan. The engineer didn’t turn up and nobody notified us about the issue. The staff agreed to refund us but after 2 months we still haven’t received the refund. Never received any response from them 1 month ago.

Residential Fire Risk Assessment: Protecting Your London Home

Ensuring the safety of your home and family in London is paramount, and a residential fire risk assessment is a crucial step in achieving this. This assessment helps identify potential fire hazards within your property and outlines measures to minimize those risks. Understanding what a residential fire risk assessment involves and why it’s important is essential for every homeowner in London.

A residential fire risk assessment is a systematic evaluation of your London home to identify potential fire hazards. A competent assessor will examine various aspects of your property, including electrical systems, heating appliances, cooking equipment, and the presence of flammable materials. They will also assess fire safety measures already in place, such as smoke alarms, fire extinguishers, and escape routes, to determine their effectiveness and compliance with relevant safety standards in London.

The primary goal of a residential fire risk assessment in London is to minimize the likelihood of a fire starting and, if one does occur, to ensure the safety of occupants. The assessment will identify potential ignition sources, such as faulty wiring or overloaded electrical circuits, and assess the availability of oxygen and the presence of fuel sources, such as flammable liquids or accumulated combustible materials. It will also evaluate the means of escape, ensuring that escape routes are clear and accessible, and that occupants are alerted to a fire through working smoke alarms, in accordance with London fire safety guidelines.

While specific legal requirements for residential fire risk assessments might primarily apply to landlords and communal areas in London, conducting a fire risk assessment for your own home is a proactive measure that demonstrates a commitment to the safety of your family and property. It can also be beneficial for insurance purposes, as some insurers in London may require or offer discounts for properties with documented fire safety measures. Furthermore, a fire risk assessment can provide valuable peace of mind, knowing that potential hazards have been identified and addressed in your London residence.

Following a residential fire risk assessment in London, you will receive a report outlining any identified hazards and recommendations for mitigating those risks. These recommendations may include installing or upgrading smoke alarms on each floor, ensuring fire extinguishers are readily available and properly maintained, creating and practicing a fire escape plan specific to your London home, and addressing any electrical or heating-related issues. Implementing these recommendations is crucial for maintaining a safe living environment in your London home.
