Poor Service

Very disappointing experience on the 2nd time around. After chasing me to get me Fire Risk Assessment booked in because the previous one was about to expire, ( or more than one occasion unnecessarily). They then tried to charge me for things that are not needed on a risk assessment and i had to be firm with them as i work in property so knew they were just touting for business. I have today received the certificate nearly 3 months after the report was carried out. This was very disappointing especially as i had to continually chase the report . I would not recommend i had a client with a block of 16 flats i could of referred but obviously didn't.

Where’s the refund?

We booked an appointment and paid on 20th Jan. The engineer didn’t turn up and nobody notified us about the issue. The staff agreed to refund us but after 2 months we still haven’t received the refund. Never received any response from them 1 month ago.

EPC Certificate Register: Accessing and Understanding Your Property's Energy Performance

For landlords and homeowners in the UK, understanding and accessing the EPC Certificate Register is essential for property transactions and compliance. The Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) Register is a national database that stores EPCs for domestic and commercial properties. This guide explains how to access the register, understand the information it provides, and ensure your property’s EPC is correctly recorded.

The EPC Certificate Register is a government-maintained database that allows you to find EPCs for properties in England and Wales. It provides access to EPCs that have been lodged by accredited energy assessors. This register is crucial for property owners, buyers, and tenants to check the energy efficiency rating of a property. It also helps landlords ensure they are complying with legal requirements, as EPCs are mandatory for rental and sales transactions.

Accessing the EPC Certificate Register is straightforward. You can search for an EPC using the property’s postcode or the Report Reference Number (RRN) provided on the certificate. The register provides details such as the property’s energy efficiency rating (A to G), estimated energy costs, and recommendations for improving energy efficiency. It also shows the date the EPC was lodged and its expiry date, which is typically 10 years from the lodgement date.

If you cannot find your property’s EPC on the register, it may be because the certificate has not been lodged correctly, or it has expired. In such cases, you will need to contact the energy assessor who conducted the assessment or arrange for a new EPC to be carried out. Ensuring your EPC is correctly registered is crucial for legal compliance and to provide accurate information to potential tenants or buyers.

To ensure your property’s EPC is correctly lodged and accessible, it’s essential to use accredited energy assessors. For reliable and professional EPC assessment services, visit Landlords Checks Energy Performance Certificate. They offer comprehensive EPC assessments and ensure your certificate is properly registered, helping you comply with regulations and enhance your property’s energy efficiency.
