Poor Service

Very disappointing experience on the 2nd time around. After chasing me to get me Fire Risk Assessment booked in because the previous one was about to expire, ( or more than one occasion unnecessarily). They then tried to charge me for things that are not needed on a risk assessment and i had to be firm with them as i work in property so knew they were just touting for business. I have today received the certificate nearly 3 months after the report was carried out. This was very disappointing especially as i had to continually chase the report . I would not recommend i had a client with a block of 16 flats i could of referred but obviously didn't.

Where’s the refund?

We booked an appointment and paid on 20th Jan. The engineer didn’t turn up and nobody notified us about the issue. The staff agreed to refund us but after 2 months we still haven’t received the refund. Never received any response from them 1 month ago.

The Importance of Fire Safety and Risk Assessment in Merton, London

For landlords and property managers operating within the Merton borough of London, ensuring the safety and security of your tenants and the properties under your care is a paramount responsibility. A cornerstone of fulfilling this crucial duty lies in the meticulous undertaking of a fire safety and risk assessment. This is far more than a mere procedural requirement stipulated by UK law; it represents a proactive and indispensable measure that can significantly mitigate the potential for fire and its often-devastating repercussions.

The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 clearly and unequivocally assigns the responsibility for fire safety to the ‘responsible person,’ who is typically identified as the landlord or the designated property manager. Failure to diligently adhere to these essential and legally binding regulations can unfortunately lead to substantial financial penalties and, in more severe cases, even potential imprisonment. Therefore, a comprehensive understanding and the conscientious implementation of a fire safety and risk assessment specifically tailored to your Merton property are absolutely indispensable for responsible property management and the well-being of your tenants.

A fire safety and risk assessment involves a systematic and detailed evaluation of a property to accurately identify all potential fire hazards that may be present, to meticulously assess the inherent risks associated with each of these identified hazards, and to subsequently establish appropriate and demonstrably effective control measures designed to minimize or eliminate these risks. This critical process encompasses several vital stages that must be undertaken with diligence and expertise. These stages include: the comprehensive and thorough identification of all potential fire hazards that could foreseeably arise within the property; the clear and unambiguous identification of all individuals who may be placed at potential risk in the unfortunate event of a fire occurring, including not only tenants but also any visitors or contractors who may be present on the premises; a systematic and detailed evaluation of the specific risks associated with each identified hazard, taking into account factors such as the likelihood of occurrence and the potential severity of the consequences; the meticulous and accurate recording of all findings derived from the assessment, coupled with the subsequent development of a clear and actionable plan outlining the specific steps that will be taken to address any identified deficiencies or areas of concern; and finally, the establishment of a clear and consistent schedule for regular reviews and updates of the fire safety and risk assessment to ensure its ongoing validity and effectiveness in light of any changes in the property’s use, occupancy, or layout.

Engaging the services of highly qualified and experienced professionals to conduct your fire safety and risk assessment within Merton offers the invaluable assurance that the assessment will be carried out with meticulous attention to detail and in strict accordance with the most current legal requirements and industry best practices. These seasoned professionals possess the specialized knowledge and expertise necessary to accurately identify potential hazards that you might inadvertently overlook and can provide tailored and expert advice on the essential fire safety measures that are specifically required for your property within the unique context of the Merton borough.

By fully recognizing the fundamental importance of a comprehensive fire safety and risk assessment and by diligently ensuring its thorough and professional execution, landlords operating within Merton can effectively meet their legal obligations under UK law, proactively safeguard the continued safety and well-being of their tenants, and ultimately protect their valuable property investment from the potentially devastating consequences of fire.
