Poor Service

Very disappointing experience on the 2nd time around. After chasing me to get me Fire Risk Assessment booked in because the previous one was about to expire, ( or more than one occasion unnecessarily). They then tried to charge me for things that are not needed on a risk assessment and i had to be firm with them as i work in property so knew they were just touting for business. I have today received the certificate nearly 3 months after the report was carried out. This was very disappointing especially as i had to continually chase the report . I would not recommend i had a client with a block of 16 flats i could of referred but obviously didn't.

Where’s the refund?

We booked an appointment and paid on 20th Jan. The engineer didn’t turn up and nobody notified us about the issue. The staff agreed to refund us but after 2 months we still haven’t received the refund. Never received any response from them 1 month ago.

How Much is an EPC Certificate? A Guide for London Landlords

For landlords in London, budgeting for property expenses includes understanding the cost of an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC). An EPC is legally required when renting out or selling a property, providing an energy efficiency rating from A (most efficient) to G (least efficient). This guide outlines the factors influencing the price of an EPC and helps landlords estimate this cost effectively.

The price of an EPC certificate in London is not fixed and can vary based on several factors. These include the size and type of the property, its location within London, and the complexity of the assessment. Larger properties or those with unique architectural features may require more time and expertise to assess, leading to a higher cost. It’s essential to obtain quotes from multiple accredited assessors to ensure you receive a competitive and fair price.

When comparing quotes, consider not only the price but also the reputation and experience of the assessor. A thorough and accurate assessment is crucial to ensure the EPC reflects the true energy performance of the property. A reputable assessor will conduct a comprehensive evaluation, examining factors such as insulation, heating systems, windows, and lighting. The assessment process typically involves a site visit, where the assessor will gather the necessary information to generate the EPC report.

While there isn’t a standard price for EPCs, landlords can expect to pay within a certain range. Prices can vary significantly, so it’s wise to shop around and compare several quotes. Keep in mind that the cheapest option isn’t always the best; prioritize assessors who offer a detailed and reliable service. The EPC report, once generated, is valid for 10 years, making it a long-term investment in your property’s compliance and marketability.

To obtain a valid EPC and ensure your property meets legal requirements, consider using professional services.
