Poor Service

Very disappointing experience on the 2nd time around. After chasing me to get me Fire Risk Assessment booked in because the previous one was about to expire, ( or more than one occasion unnecessarily). They then tried to charge me for things that are not needed on a risk assessment and i had to be firm with them as i work in property so knew they were just touting for business. I have today received the certificate nearly 3 months after the report was carried out. This was very disappointing especially as i had to continually chase the report . I would not recommend i had a client with a block of 16 flats i could of referred but obviously didn't.

Where’s the refund?

We booked an appointment and paid on 20th Jan. The engineer didn’t turn up and nobody notified us about the issue. The staff agreed to refund us but after 2 months we still haven’t received the refund. Never received any response from them 1 month ago.

What is EPC? Understanding Energy Performance Certificates in London

If you’re a landlord or homeowner in London, you’ve likely come across the term EPC. But what is EPC and why is it important? An EPC, or Energy Performance Certificate, is a document that assesses the energy efficiency of a property. It provides a rating from A (most efficient) to G (least efficient), offering valuable insights into a property’s energy performance.

So, what is EPC used for in London? An EPC is a legal requirement when selling or renting out a property. It gives potential buyers or tenants an understanding of the property’s energy efficiency and potential energy costs. This helps them make informed decisions. The certificate also includes recommendations on how the property’s energy efficiency could be improved.

Understanding what is EPC entails the assessment process. To get an EPC in London, a certified Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA) will inspect your property. They will evaluate factors like insulation, heating systems, windows, and lighting to determine the energy rating. Once the assessment is complete, you will receive your EPC certificate, which is valid for ten years.

Knowing what is EPC and its implications is crucial for landlords in London. You are legally obligated to have a valid EPC in place before marketing your property for rent and must provide it to prospective tenants. Failing to comply with EPC regulations can result in penalties. Therefore, understanding what is EPC and ensuring you have one is a key part of being a responsible landlord in London.
